The MSLETB Now Offering Digital Skills Assessment and Flexible Computer Courses for Adult Learners in Ballina.

Mayo, Sligo, and Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSLETB) has launched a new Digital Training Centre in Ballina, a service to provide adult learners with accredited digital skills. The project gives adult learners the opportunity to learn or improve their existing digital skills. On offer are Computer Literacy courses at different levels, Microsoft Office Courses such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Graduates from MSL ETB’s recently formed Mayo College of FET celebrated with family and invited guests at the institution’s first official Graduation Ceremony at Breaffy House Resort on Friday, 18 November. The inaugural Apprentice of the Year Awards ceremony was held on Tuesday in the Round Room of the Mansion House, Dublin, where 500 guests from across the apprenticeship system, including employers, educators, apprentices and their families, gathered to celebrate the outstanding contributions and achievements made by Ireland’s 25,000-strong apprentice community. 187 apprentices were nominated from around the country for these awards.…

The Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research Innovation and Science, Simon Harris visited the Leitrim Youthreach base in Mohill on Monday 10th of October to announce a very significant funding under the FET Strategic Infrastructure Upgrade Fund for the programme. Music Generation Sligo’s Sligo Youth Voices Choir performed at the national ‘Beyond Limits’ event on Saturday on the main stage in the Knocknarea arena at Sligo’s ATU. The aim of the ‘Beyond Limits’ event is to empower young people and children with disabilities by showing them the opportunities open to them, talking about the issues that they face and to highlight inclusiveness.
