About Us
The Mayo, Sligo, and Leitrim Regional Adult Literacy Coalition is a partnership of organizations across the three counties committed to supporting adults with literacy, numeracy or digital skills. We believe literacy is essential for everyday tasks and should be viewed as an opportunity for growth, not a challenge.
As literacy-friendly organisations, we use plain English in our communications to ensure inclusivity and understanding. Our goal is to work together to create a welcoming environment for everyone. When we encounter individuals with literacy needs, we offer support and guide them towards resources where they can begin their learning journey and access the help they need.
Through collaboration, we aim to empower adults in our communities to improve their skills and gain confidence, opening doors to new opportunities in life.
