The Sligo-Leitrim Arts Scheme offers support to educational initiatives that encourage and develop an appreciation, understanding or practice of the arts in the context of providing opportunities in arts education directed at adults. Applications are invited from voluntary and professional arts groups or individual arts practitioners for funding towards workshops, events, projects, exhibitions or productions with clearly defined arts education benefit. Drumshanbo Vocational Schools 5th Year LCVP class held a very successful Jersey Day on November 8th. The proceeds collected were split between The North West Hospice, St. John’s Ward Childhood Cancer Foundation and towards sports equipment for Drumshanbo Vocational School. A sum of €422 was raised for the causes. We would like to give a warm thank you to all the students and staff who participated in this enjoyable event.
