Davitt College is a co-educational, multi-denominational school run by Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board, with its own Board of Management, comprising of representatives from the Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim E.T.B., parents and staff. The college also has an active Parents’ Council which promotes and supports the college. Davitt College provides mainstream second-level education, Post-Leaving Certificate Courses through the Castlear College of Further Education and Adult Evening Courses, in partnership with staff, parents, students and other state agencies.

|In keeping with our mission statement, the college also provides a high quality special needs education, including special English classes for non-national students and special classes for students experiencing difficulties in mainstream education.
|Post-Leaving Certificate Courses
|P.L.C. Courses are provided at Castlebar College of Further Education and are programmes of integrated education, training and work experience. These courses are certified by QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) and can provide an alternative route to higher education in Institutes of Technology. Courses include: Business Studies; Tourism and Heritage Studies; Secretarial Studies; Media Studies; Information Technology and Computing; Childcare and Nursing Studies, Graphic Design and Music.
|Adult Education Evening Courses
|Each year a wide range of evening courses are available at Davitt College. Courses generally commence in late September and January, with longer courses running over both sessions. All courses are publicly advertised in the local press in September and January.
