MSLETB (Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board) celebrated its 10-year anniversary by partnering with Shannonside FM for an outdoor broadcast in Marketyard, Carrick-on-Shannon. The event was part of Education and Training Boards Ireland’s #ETBWeek and aimed to showcase the organisation and its achievements.
The broadcast featured interviews with members of the MSLETB team, who spoke about the organisation’s work in providing education and training opportunities to communities in Mayo, Sligo, and Leitrim. The interviews were conducted by the hosts of the 11 to 1 and the afternoon show on Shannonside FM.
Tom Grady, CEO of MSLETB, highlighted MSLETBs commitment to providing high-quality education and training services to learners in the region. He also praised the dedication of the MSLETB team, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that learners have access to the support they need to achieve their goals.
Other guests included Mary Madden, Director of Schools, and Peter Egan, Director of Further Education and Training, who provided an overview of the organisation’s Schools and Further Education and Training options.
Sean Burke, Area Training Manager – Sligo, Jessica Martin, National Sales Apprenticeship Programme Co-Ordinator, and Samantha Donnelly, Sales Apprentice at Rye River Brewing Co., discussed the various types of apprenticeships available in the region.
Community Engagement Facilitator Anna-Marie Kinsella and Breffni Family Resource Centre Co-ordinator Sinead Murphy also spoke about the benefits of community education and how the community can avail of these services.
Finally, Jane Nolan and Martina O’Sullivan from the Leitrim Adult Educational Guidance Service discussed how MSLETB’s Adult Educational Guidance Service can help learners begin their journey back to education.
The outdoor broadcast was a great success, which provided an opportunity to showcase the important work of the organisation and to celebrate its achievements over the past decade.
