Mayo, Sligo Leitrim ETB in conjunction with SOLAS launches an open call for funding aimed primarily at local Community Education Providers/Groups. The Mitigating Against Educational Disadvantage Fund (MAEDF) aims to address educational disadvantage which may be experienced by adult learners and has a particular focus on supporting the engagement and reengagement of adult learners in the community. This call aims to reduce barriers to participation in Further Education and Training (FET) by facilitating wider access to digital technologies, equipment, materials, and other supports.

The following four categories that are eligible for funding consideration:
- Digital Technologies to supply devices, software and systems, or CPD training, to facilitate high quality learning and delivery
- Learner Assistance Fund to help, where appropriate, with costs associated with course participation, such as books and class materials
- Out-reach and/or Mentoring Fund to assist with costs associated with activities such as awareness raising, and services to promote re-engagement.
- COVID-19 Recovery Exceptional Circumstances Fund for Community Education to address educationally disadvantaged learners.
