Who we are:
On 1st July 2013, Education and Training Boards (ETBs) were established under the Education and Training Boards Act, 2013. Each ETB is a statutory body with its own corporate status. With the commencement of the ETB Act in 2013, the then existing 33 Vocational Education Committees (VECs) were dissolved and replaced by 16 Education and Training Boards. Co. Mayo VEC, Co. Sligo VEC and Co. Leitrim VEC merged at that point to form Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSLETB). Former FÁS Training Centres in Sligo and Ballina were subsequently incorporated into the new entity of Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim ETB.
