Mayo College of Further Education & Training celebrated the success of its graduating students with special guest Minister Alan Dillion, Michael Ring and Andrew Brownlee presenting awards to the students on Friday the 8th of November.

This year’s graduating class represents a wide array of more than 50 Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) and Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) courses. The breadth of courses—from business and healthcare to engineering, arts, and technology—reflects Mayo College’s commitment to providing comprehensive educational pathways that equip students with practical skills and knowledge for bright futures in a variety of fields.

Michael Murphy, Principal of Mayo College of Further Education & Training praised the students’ dedication and highlighted the significance of the day:

Tom Grady, Chief Executive of Mayo Sligo & Leitrim Education & Training Board (MSLETB), extended his congratulations and encouragement to the graduating students, stating:

“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of our graduates. You have worked tirelessly to reach this milestone, and today is a celebration of all that you’ve achieved. On behalf of MSLETB, I wish you the very best in both your professional and personal journeys ahead.”

This event marks a pivotal moment for Mayo College as it continues its mission, in partnership with MSLETB, to expand educational opportunities for the local community and surrounding regions. The graduation ceremony was attended by students, their families, and dignitaries from across the region, who joined together to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the class of 2024.
