Annual Awards 2020

Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board seeks to encourage, promote and acknowledge excellence by recognising learners and staff for either group or individual achievements or projects.

On 12th March, 2020, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board will host our fourth Annual Awards Ceremony. Applications are invited for projects / initiatives completed by staff and / or Students, Learners and Trainees under the following categories.

Award Categories

Contribution to Local Community / Society This award will be presented for the best initiative promoting the positive contribution to local community / society.
Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship This award will be presented to the project that best illustrates innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Projects in this category may be of any nature.
Arts, Culture, Heritage and the Irish Language This award will be presented for the best initiative promoting Arts, Culture, Heritage or the promotion / use of the Irish Language.
Health and Wellbeing This award will be presented for the best initiative promoting the positive benefits of a healthy lifestyle and / or wellbeing.
Contribution to a Sustainable Environment This award will be presented to the project that best illustrates a positive impact on environmental issues and / or the creation of awareness on creating a more sustainable environment.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) This award will be presented for the best initiative using Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Please note any projects involving music and performance will only be considered for an award where participants have composed and written the music score and / or script.

Please note an MSLETB email must be used to submit an application.

Closing date for receipt of submissions is Friday, 14th February, 2020 at 12.00 noon.

Finalists will be informed on – To be confirmed

Annual Awards Ceremony – 12th March, 2020

  • Four finalists in each category will be selected and invited to attend the ceremony
  • Projects which have received prior national recognition will not be considered for selection
  • Please note projects may only be entered in one category
